Many small, midsized manufacturers lack IT disaster plans
More companies are starting to look at where improvements in planning could be made. At Ideal Integrations, CEO Michael Stratos is starting to see the level of understanding by smaller businesses rise — disaster recovery and business continuity are the fastest-growing segments at Ideal. A solid plan must be dictated by the business unit in a company and not isolated within an IT department, Stratos said. “It’s a misnomer that it’s an IT thing,” he said. “It is IT’s job to facilitate it, but not define what it is.”
